The AI
Anthropologist

AI is not just a technology shift.
It is a cultural shift.

It is changing how people work, learn, communicate, make decisions, trust information and understand their own value.

I explore AI through the lens of people, society and culture – helping organisations think clearly about how to use it without losing the human side of their work.

Helping People, Organisations,
and Society Traverse the Global
AI Socio-Cultural Shift

Zahir Parris

AI should increase human agency,
not reduce it.

It should help people do better work, make better decisions and spend less time trapped in admin, confusion and broken systems.

The goal is not to replace people with machines.

The goal is to give humans more control over machine intelligence.

I help businesses, social enterprises and public-facing organisations understand how AI can be used responsibly, practically and humanely.

My work combines:

The aim is simple:

To help organisations build AI systems that people can understand, trust and actually use.

Most AI conversations focus on tools.

But tools are only part of the story.

The harder questions are human:

Anthropology helps us ask better questions before we build the wrong systems.

I am interested in AI that supports:

Especially in sectors where people, care, culture and context matter.

I am building a body of work around human-centred AI adoption.

This includes practical projects, research, essays, talks, workshops and tools that explore how AI can support people without reducing them to data points, processes or productivity metrics.

The question behind the work is:

How do we design AI systems that help people flourish?

You do not need to be technical.

You just need to care about what happens when technology enters human systems.
